1999 Label: No Limit / Priority Format: CD, cassette, digital download, LP 5 2. Tru 2 da Game is the fourth studio album released by New Orleans hip-hop. Tru doesn't have any particularly noteworthy rhyming skills, and the music is predictable, yet their workmanlike gangsta rap makes for a worthwhile set for aficionados. See More Your browser does not support the audio element. Tru 2 Da Game is fairly standard hardcore gangsta rap, intercut with just a touch of deep, funky bass grooves.
Intro to no limit tru to da game update#
Using DAT files, Romcenter, and Goodsets I created my own No-Intro sets back in 2013, and did not update them until here recently, thanks to these uploaded on, which put a smile on my face, just to see them here. Filling out the sound are guest artists aplenty, including Mia X, C-Loc, and Kane. IMHO No-intro is a huge improvement over the 'Good' sets. However by 2003 No Limit had fell on hard times and was shut down.

Tru doesnt have any particularly noteworthy rhyming skills, and the music is predictable, yet their workmanlike gangsta rap makes for a worthwhile set for aficionados. It was followed by Tru 2 da Game in 1997 and Da Crime Family in 1999. Tru 2 Da Game is fairly standard hardcore gangsta rap, intercut with just a touch of deep, funky bass grooves. All favor the "rapid-attack" style so popular with southern rappers, and all can pop off syllables like gang bangers "popping off caps." "I Always Feel Like" is about the sneaky power of paranoia, while "I Got Candy" is about-you guessed it-slinging dope. In 1995, the group was shortened to include just the three Miller brothers and the trio released their third album True on No Limit Records, which was just getting started.

Tru's core members are C-Murder "Da Killa," Master P "Ice Cream Man," and The Shocker. Stream Best Of No Limit Records Mixtape by Master P, Mystikal, Soulja Slim, Mac Hosted by XAY THE DJ. What follows is track after track of extreme gangsta rap, replete with continual obscenities, references to drugs, violence, and everything else that stays "true" to that well-know formula (In other words, Tru is not for the kiddies).Īll that predictability is offset, thankfully, by some original rap stylings.
Intro to no limit tru to da game code#
This double-disc set opens with a father talking to his son about staying "true to the game." The gangsta game, that is, and the Game of Life, lived by the Code of the Streets. Purchase and download this album in a wide variety of formats depending on your needs.
